One of the most scenic parts
of the Valley of Fire because there is a considerable mixture of color deriving
from the sandstones. The iron content is responsible for most of the color in
the soil and the rocks. It is also has an influence on the plants in the Valley of Fire because many of the plants that are found in the
redder soils appear to have green color which is much different than the counter
parts to those same plants in other areas. This green vs. red contrast makes the
area look even more exotic.
