Privacy Policy
I do not compile information about anyone. I consider such marketing strategies ineffective and a
nuisance. Besides, I'm selling anything! I do however look
for people who link to the images and not the pages. That is a
clear copyright violation and it is documented by the server
logs. Someday if I get mean maybe I'll sue those violators.I do not have the time to pursue that kind
nonsense. I too am victimized by the predators who have
nothing better to do than to ply their acts of subterfuge
against their unsuspecting visitors.
The types of sites that invade your privacy are always the one's
that have pop-ups or ads everywhere - what I call
'flea-market' sites. They always have a bunch of ads everywhere that have
little or nothing to do with what you are searching for. Who
wants to see ads for cars when they are researching information?
If you search for
something on a flea-market web site, they will have tacky
looking ads everywhere and you will have your privacy invaded because they are interested
in selling you something that you were not originally intending
to purchase.
This is especially true of those sites that have inappropriate
ads on them. For example if you search for 'red rock canyon' and
you get a web site that has ads for cars, bank loans or other
things that are unrelated to your search then you have good
cause to think that these people or the affiliate programs that
they are advertising for, are gathering information about you.
That is a fact.
These sites also frequently have inaccurate information because
they are not interested in the data, they only put words on
their sites to spam the search engines.
This has created a market for software that removes these spies
from your computer. The best known of these is a free product
called Ad-Aware here is the link to them
CLICK
HERE. WE ARE IN NO WAY CONNECTED WITH THIS COMPANY AND
DO NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING FOR RECOMMENDING IT. It will check your
computer for the tracking cookies that the flea-market web sites
put on your computer and remove them.
My interest is solely in exposing those web sites that parade
around representing one thing and then trying to sell you
something that you never wanted in the first place and also
whose affiliates place tracking software on YOUR COMPUTER!
This is a fact, get the Ad-Aware and you will find out that you
have these 'tracking cookies' on your computer after you visit
those web sites. These can be
removed. They are a betrayal of your confidence however for just
a few pennies. To read
more about this read PCWORLD's 'Editor's Round up's'. They will
have a pop-up. Oh no! BUT getting the low down on the spy ware
that web sites that supposedly talk about cactus and then try to
sell you a bank loan, are doing to you, it is worth the pop-up.

BEWARE WEB SITES WITH A LOT OF ADS IN A PLACE WHERE SUPPOSEDLY
ACADEMIC OR OTHER INFORMATION IS DISPLAYED. THESE ADS INVARIABLY
LEAD TO OTHER WEB SITES THAT WILL PUT COOKIES AND TRACKING
SOFTWARE ON YOUR COMPUTER WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.
