The Paris Hotel Area At
Night
The Paris Hotel is perfectly suited to its location and fits in perfectly with
the themes of the other resorts which surround it. Marked by
it distinctive Eiffel Tower, the Paris an example of how a visual theme can be
applied in a resort setting. The Paris does its theme well with a quality look
about it that invites you to get a view of the Strip from its own Eiffel
Tower.
The Paris hotel offers themed gift shops for buyers and browsers in its
Bally's-Paris Promenade.
The picture on the right, taken in February 2001, looks down on the fountain
lake at the Bellagio, across to the Flamingo Hotel in the right center, the
Treasure Island Hotel in the center, The Mirage on the left with the scene
being framed by the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel.

Note the trees and the lights strung through them. This gives the sidewalks in
front of the Bellagio, which is right across
Las Vegas Boulevard from the Paris Hotel, a classy, European, Mediterranean
look.
This photo was also taken in February 2001. It was taken from across Las Vegas
Boulevard, across from the Aladdin Hotel.
For its size the Paris is really squeezed into a small space. A small mall,
with a place Little Caesars Casino used to be on this spot.
It was shocking to see that they could build the Barbary Coast in the spot
where the old Times Square Motel used to be. The Barbary Coast is that small
rectangular spot at the bottom left side of the Flamingo Hotel. |
It was equally amazing that they could fit the Imperial Palace Hotel into the
spot occupied by the Flamingo Capri Motel and Flamingo Wash.
The
Paris Hotel fits snugly into a small yet surprisingly adequate area between
the Aladdin Hotel and Bally's Hotel. As an instant Vegas icon the Paris Hotel
has architecture and lighting which give the area around the Aladdin,
Bellagio, Paris area a really nice atmosphere.
A replica of the Arc D'Triomphe and Parisian stlye streetlamps are part of the
entrance area. Grand entrances are a hallmark of Las Vegas resorts. The most
famous grand entrance in Las Vegas is across the street at Caesars Palace. |
