Spring Mountains around Red Rock Canyon, Mt
Potosi and Lovell Canyon. Its scientific name is Penstemon eatonii. It is
usually 2 to 4 feet tall and likes to grow out in the open. This photo was
shot in Red Rock Canyon in late April. In Red Rock they are found with other
plants and near water but not by water, You won't see it around streams, but
you will see it in the growth that surrounds streams.
