
The Dune Evening Primrose is usually found in lower elevations of Southern
Nevada. That means they are likely to be found near the Hoover Dam and Lake
Mead area. On the way to Hoover Dam from the Nevada side, you will see these
delicate looking white flowers alongside of the road in rocky and gravely
places.
Scientic name is Oenothera deltoides. Its habitat is supposed to be in sandy
places and up to 3500 FASL. It inhabits the Creosote Bush Scrub and Joshua
Tree Woodland environments.
This plant seems to like the roadsides on the way to Lake Mead or Hoover Dam
an appears to like to move into surfaces and soils that have been
disturbed,
