Great Basin National Park is located in Eastern Nevada. Facts: This park was dedicated in 1986. It encompasses 77,180 acres. Highest point is Wheeler Peak at 13,063 feet. Total number of visitors 2003: 85,454 Nearest cities are Ely Nevada about 70 miles to the west and Delta Utah which is about 100 miles to the east. There is no entrance fee. Campgrounds $10.00 per night - $5.00 w/Golden Age or Access Passports RV Sanitary Station $3.00 The Visitor Center is open every day except Thanksgiving, Chritmas and New Year's Day. The Visitor Center is open from 8am to 4:30pm. Tickets for Lehman Cave, $4.00 and $8.00 for 60 and 90 minute tours. To call for more park information - 775-234-7331; extension 242 for the Cave Tours.
