The Great Basin National Park is located in Eastern Nevada. Facts: This park was dedicated in 1986. It encompasses 77,180 acres. Highest point is Wheeler Peak at 13,063 feet. Total number of visitors 2003: 85,454 Nearest cities are Ely Nevada about 70 miles to the west and Delta Utah which is about 100 miles to the east. There is no entrance fee. Campgrounds $10.00 per night - $5.00 w/Golden Age or Access Passports RV Sanitary Station $3.00 The Visitor Center is open every day except Thanksgiving, Chritmas and New Year's Day.
