The photo at the right is of the self pay station at Callville Bay. This is typical self pay station found throughout the National Park system.

We are not sure of the seasonal policies for each campground. The campgrounds in and around Lake Mead NRA get a very serious dose of campers during the winter as the 'snowbirds' flock to Lake Mead in numbers. This is a phenomena that began about 20 years ago and has grown seriously. In the winter months many of the camping areas at Lake Mead are densely populated with both long time visitors and newly christened snowbirds.

Winter time temperatures at Lake Mead are very decent and for those lucky enough to stay here instead of the snowy climates, Lake Mead has a lot to offer.
