The Aladdin Hotel and Casino originally opened in early 1966 as the 'Tallyho'. This was an English country-side themed hotel that tried to make it in Las Vegas without a casino. After about six months the Tallyho closed its doors. Soon after that the property was reopened as the 'Aladdin' by Milton Prell.

In its current incarnation, the Aladdin is one of the truly great 'destination' resorts in Las Vegas. The location could not possibly be better. Next to the Paris, across the street from the Bellagio and within walking distance of the MGM Grand, Bally's, Monte Carlo, Caesars Palace, New York New York, the Aladdin is centrally located on the South Las Vegas Strip.

The sole surviving feature from the previous incarnation of the Aladdin, The Theatre Of The Performing Arts is a unique, 7000 seat venue which hosts top performers and artists throughout the year.

The Aladdin has 2,567 total guest rooms. The London Club, a luxurious European-style casino-within-a-casino. A 100,000 square foot main casino. The Blue Note Jazz club of New York.
