The
Aladdin Hotel and Casino originally opened in early 1966 as the 'Tallyho'. This was an English
country-side
themed hotel that tried to make it in Las Vegas without a
casino. After about six months the Tallyho closed its
doors. Soon after that the property was reopened as the
'Aladdin' by Milton Prell.
In its current
incarnation, the Aladdin is one of the truly great 'destination' resorts in Las Vegas. The location could
not possibly be better. Next to the Paris, across the
street from the Bellagio and within walking distance of
the MGM Grand,
Bally's,
Monte
Carlo, Caesars
Palace, New
York New York, the Aladdin is centrally located on the
South Las Vegas Strip.
