The downtown area of Las Vegas presents an interesting problem for visitors and locals alike: "where are the best odds?" This is a problem because the Strip hotels, while glamorous and all that, like to use multiple decks in their blackjack games. The slots on the Strip, while they tend to have higher jackpots, also appear to have stiffer odds. Thus the dilemma, where are the best odds? Most people would think that certain casinos downtown have the best odds on blackjack and craps. For slots and video poker, that would be downtown and in the off strip locals casinos.
